Rewild your winter.
Root in the dark.
The Rewilding Winter Practice is a 4-week immersive journey that blends writing, somatic practice, and seasonal ritual, teaching you how to live with winter — to design warmth into your home, to listen to your intuition, and to trust what’s forming beneath the surface.
Winter is the season of the unseen—where your next self takes root.
We’re taught to survive this season — to push through the dark, to stay productive, to wait for spring. But everything in nature knows better. The soil doesn’t stop working when it freezes; it deepens. Seeds split quietly in the dark. Roots grow while no one is watching.
Each session is grounded in real winter ecology — snowpack, soil, hibernation, ice, light — paired with writing, ritual, and creative practice. This is The Rewilding: not metaphorical winter, but the living season itself.
This practice includes:
Four 90-minute live sessions (recordings provided)
Four Wayfinders — guided meditations for each stage of the season
Weekly reflection prompts posted in our private Slack Covenstead
A downloadable Winter Practice Guide with rituals, journaling pages, and tarot spreads
Classes will be held every February 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th at 5:15pmPT/8:15pmET.
It is recommended you have a Tarot deck.
What You’ll Walk Away With
By the end of The Rewilding, you’ll have:
A personal sanctuary — a space in your home and body that restores instead of depletes
A living relationship with intuition through tarot, journaling, and symbol
A deeper understanding of winter as fertile time, not empty time
A Seed Contract — a simple vow to the part of you that’s quietly growing
Who This Is For
This is for anyone who feels that winter’s quiet could hold something more — artists who’ve lost their spark, professionals craving rhythm, or anyone ready to stop fighting the dark and start collaborating with it.
You don’t need to be a writer, witch, ecologist, or seasoned meditator.
You just want to root in the dark.
What You’ll Experience
Four live 90-minute circles, each weaving together:
Teaching: seasonal wisdom + neuroscience + myth.
Somatic practice: breath, grounding, embodiment.
Writing: guided prompts and deep creative exercises.
Ritual: simple practices for altar-building, mantra, and seasonal noticing.
Audio Practices (4 total): Standalone recordings (10 min each) that bring teaching + embodiment alive through elemental soundscapes.
Weekly Email Support: Recaps, reminders, and additional practices to carry the work into your week.
Community: A circle of like-minded participants who share reflections, witness each other’s words, and grow together.
Classes will be held every Wednesday in February at 5:15pmPT/8:15pmET.
Winter isn’t the absence of growth. It’s the laboratory of it.
When you move slowly, your roots have time to deepen. When you stop performing brightness, your real light begins to flicker again—smaller, steadier, truer.
This course isn’t about doing less. It’s about learning to live with rhythm, design, and devotion.
The Winter Practice
February 4th — Session 1 — The Descent: Entering Underground Time
Winter is not death — it’s incubation. We explore how seeds use darkness, cold, and pressure to awaken; and and how tarot can help us see what’s germinating within us. You’ll learn to read the season’s invisible work, both in nature and in yourself, using anchor cards.
February 11th — Session 2 — The Nest: The Architecture of Warmth
Animals reshape their environments in winter: dens deepen, fur thickens, warmth becomes art. In this session, you’ll design your own winter sanctuary — a small, sensory corner crafted for comfort, nourishment, and emotional regulation. Rest becomes creative, and Tarot helps illuminate what parts of you are asking for warmth and protection.
February 18th — Session 3 — The Veil: Speaking with the Invisible
When the world quiets, intuition speaks. We study winter’s mirrors (ice, moonlight, long nights) to deepen intuition and dreamwork. This session blends ecology with tarot, symbol, and the language of the unseen.
February 25th — Session 4 — The Flame: Tending What Wants to Emerge
Beneath the snow, roots keep growing. This final session explores early-thaw energy, the final shifts of February light, and what’s quietly preparing to emerge in you. You’ll craft a Seed Contract to carry toward spring, supported by a spread to guide your season ahead.

When you consider what you’re receiving in The Rewilding, it’s helpful to compare it to other ways people often seek growth and renewal:
Wellness Retreat:
~$1,200+ for a weekend
Deep immersion, but short-lived, little integration afterward
1:1 Coaching:
~$250+/session → $1,000+ for four weeks
Personalized, but often focused on productivity over embodiment and creativity
For less than the cost of a single weekend retreat, you receive an entire season of support, practices you’ll keep for life, and a compass to guide you long after the leaves fall.
FAQs
Q: I’m not a writer — is this still for me?
Yes. This is a seasonal journaling experience. Writing here is a tool for discovery, not performance. You don’t need to share anything you don’t want to.
Q: What if I miss a session?
All sessions will be recorded. You’ll have lifetime access to rewatch at your own pace.
Q: Will this feel repetitive if I took the Autumn Practice?
Not at all. Autumn focused on release and shadow; Winter turns to germination and intuition. It’s the next layer of the same work.
Q: How much time should I expect to commit each week?
Each circle is 90 minutes, plus optional somatic and lifestyle homework. Most participants spend 2–3 hours weekly.
Q: Do I need tarot experience?
Not at all. We’ll cover how to read intuitively — no memorization, no rules.
Q: Do I need a tarot deck?
Yes. I recommend getting a traditional deck if this is your first time using Tarot. It is a myth that you need to be gifted your first deck.
Q: Is this therapy?
No. This is not clinical or diagnostic. It’s creative and reflective — designed to support, not replace, professional care. But my therapist is the one who told me to launch the course, so…
Testimonials
“You live differently than most, and there’s something exquisite about seeing the world through your eyes and words; it’s settling and it normalizes what enough is. I think you really show what it’s like to arrive now, rather than later, and as someone else said, you give me a sense of place.” - Holly Whitaker, author of New York Times Bestseller, Quit Like a Woman
“Thoughtful writing from a beautiful place. Reading Shangrilogs makes me feel like I'm hanging out at a friend's house on the internet. And that's a really hard feeling to find online these days.” - Cait Flanders, author of The Wall Street Journal bestseller, The Year of Less
“Kelton magically brings me into her home so that I feel like I am right there watching the snow melt in spring, can smell the pine trees in summer, bask in the autumn sunshine, and then hunker down while a blizzard rages around her log cabin. It's a kind of magic that I relish.” - Michael Jensen, author of Substack Bestseller, Brent and Michael Are Going Places
